Travelling From Dublin Airport to Dublin City
NCI is located in the city centre, making travel from the airport easy and convenient.
If you decide to travel by public transport from Dublin Airport, there are a number of bus options to get to City from the Airport. Dublin Bus Airlink 747 stops at the Spencer Hotel, directly behind NCI. The Aircoach service runs 24 hours a day and stops close to the College.
Taxis are all metered and you should also use a licensed taxi. The fare to the city centre will cost approximately €25 with extra charges for each additional passenger and for carrying luggage.
Starting at NCI
We recommend that students arrive by at least two weeks before your course starts. This allows plenty of time to search for accommodation, get settled in and enjoy Dublin city before your studies.
We have developed a Welcome Programme to support international students joining the college for each intake. The Welcome Programme is delivered over four weeks starting from the first week in September and January.
The programme is designed to ensure you have all the information you need to start at NCI and settle into college life in Dublin.
Some of the meetings are pre-scheduled for you and are mandatory to attend. The first meeting is the Welcome meeting with a Student Peer Mentor within a few days of your arrival. At this meeting you will receive a welcome pack with all the necessary information and letters. It is really important that you arrive for your scheduled meeting on time.
You will meet other new international students as well as your Peer Mentors at all our Welcome events which include some of the following.
- Tours of the campus and Dublin city
- Social activities
- Student Life Meeting
- Transport system in Dublin
- Essentials Meeting
